How Birth Doula Support Works

The Process

  • Schedule a free consultation with us at your convenience using the scheduling tool below or by calling us. All consultations are done by the owner who knows each member of our birth doula team.

    During our phone consultation, we talk about what led you here, how you envision your birth, and what you are looking for in a doula. We will share our philosophy and answer all of your questions.

  • You will interview the doulas available during your due date and let us know who you’d like to work with. We can help you come up with questions if you’d like.

  • After you choose/hire your doula, the two of you begin the prenatal preparation we are so proud to offer. This is the time to build that relationship, so don’t be shy! Use your doula as much as you can. We are doulas because we want to help!

  • You work with your doula to prepare for labor throughout your pregnancy. Each doula runs her sessions a bit differently, but we are all available at your convenience and take pride in answering questions via text, email, and phone within 24 hours throughout your pregnancy.

    When labor begins, you decide when your doula joins you, and when labor ends, you decide when she leaves, according to the provisions in the contract.

    You and your doula may choose to have a final session during your postpartum period to review your birth and check in on your and your baby’s wellbeing.

Pricing

  • Our doulas range in price from $500 to $1250 based on experience. Based on your due date and the doulas currently on the team, you will be offered all available doulas and can factor their fee into your decision.

  • You will provide a $500 deposit to book your doula and the rest of your payment will be due at 35 weeks.

  • We accept Venmo or Zelle without fees, but if you prefer to use a credit card, a fee will be added. Of course, old fashioned paper checks and cash work too!

  • Few things are more unpredictable than birth, so we have taken that into consideration. Our contract includes refund policies based on the reason for your change of plans and the proximity to your due date.

While each service can be booked on its own when you need it, choosing one of our custom packages upfront offers you the best value and the benefit of knowing you have built-in support, reserved ahead of time, and coming to you right when you need it.
